Public Health, Policy & Planning
The Public Health Clinics deliver medical care directly to where people live, work and gather, removing barriers to access and reaching residents who may not otherwise seek care. Through four targeted programs—Mobile Clinic, Street Medicine, Shelter Medicine, and Field Medicine—San Mateo County Health provides essential services to adults experiencing homelessness, farmworkers, individuals living in shelters and those with limited access to traditional health systems. Each program is built on a foundation of compassion, cultural sensitivity and collaboration with community partners to help individuals take charge of their health and connect to long-term care and support.
