Behavioral Health & Recovery Services
The Community Wellness Crisis Response Team (CWCRT) deploys a contracted Mental Health Clinician by 9-1-1, along with police officers, to calls involving individuals suspected of experiencing behavioral health crises. The team aims to help manage high-risk situations and improve outcomes and public safety. The program began as a pilot in 2021 and has now expanded to the following cities: Daly City, San Mateo, Redwood City, South San Francisco, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, San Bruno and Belmont
