Residents have access to two convenient medicine disposal options – mail-back or drop-off at a collection bin.

Bring your unwanted medicine (pills, liquids, creams and inhalers) to any drop-off kiosk. Kiosks do not accept pre-filled injectors, such as EpiPens®. Instead, you must request a free injector mail-back package.
Unwanted medicine includes prescription, nonprescription, brand name and generic drugs for county residents and their pets. It does not include vitamins or supplements, herbal-based remedies, homeopathic drugs, beauty and personal care products, and medical devices or their components.
Combine pills in a sealed plastic bag or in as few containers as possible. Remove personal information from the containers. Place empty containers in your home recycling.

Pick up a prepaid mail-back envelope at a distribution site to mail in your unwanted medicines for safe disposal.
Only pills, liquids and creams can be mailed in these envelopes. You must request a prepaid mail-back package by phone or online to dispose of injectors and inhalers.
