Behavioral Health & Recovery Services

October 2026

Happy fall! We are embracing this season of change here at BHRS by welcoming the brand-new San Mateo County Health website! Given the rapidly changing behavioral landscape, it is important to be aware of the available resources in our county. The new site is designed to make it easier for our community to find services and learn what County Health provides. We hope you enjoy browsing.

In this edition, read how Hope House is making a difference in recovery, celebrate the Phoenix Garden intern graduates, meet the young leaders shaping the future of behavioral health, and learn how to respond to an opioid overdose. Our stories this month reflects the belief that behavioral health is a community issue with recovery happening beyond the four walls of our clinics. Don’t miss the “More News” section for even more BHRS community happenings.
