Advisory oversight of behavioral health and recovery services, including mental health and substance use treatment, prevention and community engagement.
The commission reviews programs, services, facilities, agreements and policies, and submits an annual report to the Board of Supervisors. It also ensures meaningful citizen and professional involvement in behavioral health planning and recommends the appointment of the Behavioral Health Director.
