SUMMARY OF THIS ORDER
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-10 (Directing Clinical Laboratories to Accept Assignments for Covid-19 Diagnostic Tests from OptumServe and Logistics Health Inc.) issued on May 13, 2020 is rescinded in full in accordance with Section 1 of that Order.
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-4 (Directing All Laboratories Conducting COVID-19 Diagnostic Tests to Report COVID-19 Test Information – Including Positive, Negative, and Inconclusive Test Results – To Local and State Public Health Authorities) issued on March 24, 2020 is rescinded in full in accordance with Section 9 of that Order.
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-12 (For The Wearing Of Face Coverings In Workplaces And Public Settings issued on August 2, 2021) is rescinded in full in accordance with Section 8 of that Order.
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-7c (Home Quarantine and Home Isolation (revised) issued on October 29, 2020) and Appendix A (Home Quarantine Instructions issued on December 22, 2020) are rescinded in full in accordance with Section 8 of those Orders.
This Order requires all individuals to wear face coverings when indoors in workplaces and public settings, with limited exemptions.
This Order directs that face coverings shall be worn, regardless of vaccination status, over the mouth and nose, in all indoor public settings, venues, gatherings, and workplaces, such as, but not limited to: offices, retail stores, restaurants and bars, theaters, family entertainment centers, conference centers and government offices serving the public.
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-11 (Social Distancing Guidelines and Face Mask Requirements issued on June 17, 2020) and Appendix A (Social Distancing Protocol (Revised) issued on December 22, 2020) is rescinded in full in accordance with Section 15 of that Order.
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-9 (Allow Car Based Gatherings issued on May 11, 2020) and Appendix A (Car Gathering Plan issued on May 11, 2020) is rescinded in full in accordance with Section 10 of that Order.
Effective immediately, Health Officer Order No. c19-1e (“Long Term Care Facilities Order” issued on October 29, 2020) is rescinded in full in accordance with Section 17 of that Order.
HO Order c19-11 Appendix A: Social Distancing Protocol (Revised)
Revised to remove language about not permitting individuals to bring reusable items from home into stores. The removal of the language means that county residents are now able bring any kind of reusable item into a store, including shopping bags and coffee cups, though stores may adopt their own stricter policies prohibiting such items if they wish.
San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow has issued updated orders for individuals who are close contacts of a positive case (for quarantine) or who have tested positive for COVID-19 (for isolation), along with instructions for home quarantine and home isolation.
