Details: Talking about mental health continues to be of great importance to middle school development, with peer-to-peer support crucial to supporting areas of socio-emotional development, conflict management (including navigating issues of bullying and cyberbullying), and overall mental health and wellbeing promotion. Our “Middle School Real Talk” event invites young people 10-12 from San Mateo County to drop by The Youth Center and have a dialogue with high school and college students about mental health, as well as participate in a fun craft activity together (making stressballs and slime).
