September is National Recovery Month and San Mateo County will be celebrating with events throughout the month, starting with a candlelight vigil.

Candles light our way and illuminate the space above us. It is our way to dispel darkness and proclaim life and hope. Families all over the world will dispel the darkness of addiction and proclaim our hope in a candle lighting ceremony during an event called Lights of Change.

Join us as we light candles to:
• Honor our loved ones in the bondage of active addiction
• Give our gratitude for those who have found their way out of the darkness of addiction
• Remember and honor the lives lost to addiction
•Raise Awareness and Promote Recovery
