Psychologist Careers
San Mateo Medical Center employs licensed psychologists with specializations in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine. In close collaboration with medical providers, our team offers short-term, evidence-based psychological care to a mostly low-income, medically, and socially vulnerable population with diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Psychology Training
San Mateo Medical Center offers training programs for students and recent graduates of APA-accredited Clinical Psychology doctoral programs. Our training efforts emphasize use of scientific literature to inform and shape clinical practice of behavioral health in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. We have a commitment to diversity and multicultural awareness in all aspects of our training programs, fostering the development of well-rounded clinicians through various formal training and clinical experiences.
Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship
Neuropsychology services provides linguistically and culturally sensitive outpatient and inpatient evaluations to English-speaking and bilingual/monolingual non-English speaking adults and seniors with a variety of medical, neurological, and psychiatric concerns including vascular risk factors, Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, dementia due to HIV, and TBI.

Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) services provides an integrative approach to psychology, psychiatry, and medicine for three of San Mateo Medical Center’s outpatient primary care clinics.
