Aging Adults & Seniors: 24-Hour Emergency & Advice Line
The TIES line is San Mateo County’s 24-hour information and emergency response line. It helps seniors, people with disabilities, dependent adults, and caregivers access the services they need to keep them safe. The TIES line is staffed by knowledgeable and experienced social workers and public health nurses.

TIES line staff answer questions about the wide variety of services available through the County and in the community. The TIES line is the main entry point for services provided by the Aging and Adult Services Division.

The TIES line provides access to 24-hour emergency response for seniors and vulnerable adults in the community. Professional staff provide assessment and emergency protection such as shelter, food and in-home care to address immediate concerns, until a long-term care plan can be developed.
