The Keller Center is here to help the victims of child abuse, elder abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence. We provide medical, emotional, social, and legal care and support.

Flu Vaccines
Stay Healthy - Get a Flu Vaccine!

Everyone over the age of 6 months should get a flu vaccine every year. Flu vaccines are safe and especially important for those younger than 5 years, older than 65 years, pregnant women, and anyone who has asthma, chronic lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, and kidney and liver disorders.

As part of your health care team, our goal in Integrated Behavioral Health is to give you tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle and overcome emotional struggles.

Behavioral Health is a term used to describe both mental and emotional well-being. It includes many aspects of our lives. Good emotional health can be as basic as knowing how to cope with day-to-day challenges.

Interpretation Services
You have the right to an interpreter at no cost to you.

To give you the best healthcare, we need to understand you. And you need to understand us. We can provide an interpreter in almost any language, including American Sign Language. 

In some cases, we can arrange to have in-person interpreters available. In most cases, we will use our voice and video interpretation system. With this system, our staff can locate an interpreter for your language in a minute or two. You and your doctor will be able to either see the interpreter live on a video screen or talk to him (or her) on a speaker phone.

Laboratory

Our lab performs tests ordered by doctors for patients who are staying at our hospital, living in our long-term care facilities, or visiting one of our clinics. Most tests are done while you wait. If you need an appointment, your doctor or nurse will let you know. You will get your test results from your doctor or nurse.

Palliative Care Program

Palliative care focuses on relief of the pain, stress, and other debilitating symptoms of serious illness.

At San Mateo Medical Center, our palliative care program provides interdisciplinary, culturally sensitive care to our patients with serious illnesses. We provide high-quality, client focused medical, psychosocial, and spiritual care and support for our patients and their family members to alleviate pain and discomfort at the end of life.

Respiratory Care

Respiratory Care

We provide oxygen therapy, administer pulmonary medications to acute and chronically ill patients and apply and manage mechanical ventilation and life support for the critically ill.

Our Respiratory Therapists are licensed health care professionals providing care for patients with heart and lung problems, asthma, pneumonia, COPD, OSA, heart failure, respiratory distress and respiratory failure.

Skilled Nursing Care (1A)

General 1A Guidelines

  • Do not visit if you are sick — please come back when you no longer have symptoms. We are happy to arrange a phone or video visit for you.
  • Masks are recommended and will be provided if necessary.
  • A maximum of two (2) visitors per resident is suggested to visit at one time. Exceptions must be approved by nursing in advance.
  • Visitors must follow all rules at all times when inside the unit.

STD/HIV Services

The San Mateo County STD/HIV Program works to prevent STD/HIV infection and care for individuals and families affected by HIV in San Mateo County. The Program provides comprehensive, community-based prevention and testing services, STD/HIV related health care, social services, advocacy, and referrals to community agencies providing drug treatment, housing, food, dental care and other services.
