Physical activity is important at any age
These physical activity guidelines were developed for different age groups and populations. Many of the guidelines for specific age groups and populations have been translated into multiple languages.

Active Access Initiative and Collaborative
We participate in a county-wide initiative to promote physical activity opportunities throughout San Mateo County called the Active Access Initiative. This initiative began in 2008 as a collaboration between city Parks and Recreation Departments and the Health System and was strengthened by the Stanford University Medical School Older Adults and Physical Activity study (6/09).
